We’re proud and delighted to share that BABB SECURITY SYSTEMS is celebrating 49 years in business as a locally owned and family-operated company.

Back in 1976, Lorne Babb opened our doors at 436 Water Street in St. John’s. A few years later, his youngest brother Darrell joined the team, and together they helped build what has become a trusted name in security across Newfoundland and Labrador. Today, our operations are based at 6 Vanguard Court, in a 5,000-square-foot office and warehouse that continues to grow with the needs of our clients. We’ve also relocated our Lockshop from Water Street to 21 Pippy Place.

“I started the business with my wife, Arlene,” says Lorne, “and I’m so proud to now work alongside my brother Darrell and my son Gene. They’ve both brought great skill and dedication to the company, and I’m grateful every day for our hardworking team of 25 staff members. Each one has played a role in earning our strong reputation.”
